Program

  • Program Opportunities at the Camp: Program opportunities at Scout Camp Otter Lake are only limited by your imagination but here are some of the common ones:

    • Hiking/Orienteering - many opportunities

    • GPS Caches - There are a number of private (Scouts Only) geocaches hidden at throughout the camp

    • Swimming- swimming, wading, (sandy beach)

    • Fishing

      • Fish from shore or one of our water craft

      • Ice Fishing

    • Canoeing - the camp has 11 canoes available for use.

    • Paddle boat - the camp has 1.

    • Sailboat - the camp has 1.

    • Target Range - Archery, Pellet Gun, Paint-Ball, Slingshot, etc.

    • Camping

      • Year round and ideal for novice to expert,

      • Structure sites, Wilderness or Survival.

      • Come self-contained with your own equipment, or if needed we have equipment available onsite.

    • Fire Starting - Excellent location to learn and practice various fire starting techniques.

    • Wide Area Games

      • Large open field in Zone A

      • Lots of forested area for games.

    • Program Themes

      • Forestry (wide variety of native trees (hardwood & softwood, berry bushes, shrubs, etc.)

      • Field

      • Lake Front and Stream

      • Marsh

  • Nearby Opportunities - rock climbing, white water canoeing, rafting, dog sledding, horse riding, etc. If you need assistance contact either the Camp Warden or Camp Chair.
